Thierry Simonot
Born in Switzerland near a lake. As sound engineer, designer of loudspeaker orchestra and tape music interpreter, he has collaborated with festivals and venues such as La Bâtie, Luzern Festival, les Amplitudes, Présences Electroniques, Archipel, Elefanten Mixtur Parade, Synthèse in Bourges, Arsis Thesis and Musiques & Recherches in Belgium, Donaueschinger musiktage, Ulrichsberg Kaleidophon and with the ensembles 6ix+1, Contrechamps and Eklekto.
Active member of « AMEG » sound workshop (Association for Electroacoustic Music in Geneva) for which he designs and plays a fine loudspeaker orchestra, taking part in various projects involving spatialised sound, notably with Jacques Demierre, ensemble Six, Dragos Tara, Vincent Hänni, Maya Bösch, Joël Maillard, Foofwa d’immobilité and Maude Lançon. As an improviser he plays live electronics performances with Dimitri Coppe, Rudy Deceliere and with the Insub Meta Orchestra and with swiss vocalist Céline Hänni .Currently teaching with Jacques Demierre and Vincent Barras at Geneva Art and Design High School (HEAD).
